If you'd like a user flair reflecting that.CSS credit. The latest native (and unofficial) build for Mac was years ago and is wildly outdated. There is a way to run PCSX2, though. Some dude on the forums put the emulator in what's called a Wineskin. ELI5: It's like running PCSX2 for Windows inside a Windows emulator. You can get very good speed by running this, but compatibility is somewhat poor and you're limited to software rendering. Increasing the internal resolution to improve visual quality is not possible. Check it out here:Keep your head up, though.
The very latest build just included some preliminary OSX support:I read just a couple days ago that once the support was there, the plugins (particularly GSDx) need to be ported over. From what I've observed, native OSX support might be right around the corner. I'd like to correct myself here since I spent some time today to follow the guide that I linked. Hardware rendering is definitely supported and is actually pretty decent! Some games work very well at 60FPS with boosted (3x) internal resolution and 2x MSAA.
There were some games that had real trouble with massive slowdown or other graphical bugs. There's some real progress that's been made over the last year and it's very welcomed. From my own experiences, getting this to work under the Wineskin was a royal pain and it required an old version of the GSDx plugin along with another file.
And that was just for software rendering. Now it's just a simple matter of updating the Wineskin and copying in the latest version of PCSX2 (and your BIOS files, of course.)Here's some screenshots of what I was seeing today:As you can see, there are glitches (Leon = LOL!:D) but I haven't tweaked anything other than the IR.
